The HSI Lab Scanner is a sample hyperspectral scanner machine developed by Newtec using the Hypervision cameras. It is used to acquire datacubes which can be exported for offline processing, which is useful for data investigation and development of proof of concept HSI systems.
Two versions for either the VIS-NIR (430-1000nm) or the VIS-SWIR (430-1700nm) ranges
FOV: 300mm wide
Sub millimeter resolution size 0.17 mm x 0.25 mm
Focused broadband halogen illumination
With the use of a Hypervision system it is possible to distinguish between and detect most types of plastics.
On the image the camera recognizes PP and PE, which would be impossible on a RGB camera
